Service Description
Beginner Level 2: 12-Class Structured Cycle Focus: Yin Yoga, Basic Postures, Basic Vinyasa Pre-Requisites: Beginner Level 1, Healed Injuries Prop Requirements: YogaMat/SoftSurface, Blocks/ThickBooks, Straps/Belts, Cushions/Pillows, EyePillow/Blindfold. After dedicating some time to healing and restoration, the body will call for additional expansion and development. This level introduces the 8 points of alignment, breathing technique and how they apply to strength and movement. The principles of Yin Yoga are expanded to introduce very gentle Vinyasa. Conscious breathing continues to be one of the foundations of your practice. The format is designed for students who have completed Beginner Level 1, but all levels are welcome. You will spend about 50% of the time in seated, or reclined postures and the remaining time studying movement and strength-building poses. Props are encouraged. Progressive practice at this level prepares the practitioner for the Sun Salutations presented in Beginner Level 3. Leveling Up: Please read the BL3 class description. Moving on to Beginner Level 3 depends on the facility of movement between basic postures with minimal stiffness, aches, and pains in the body.
