Service Description

NOT FOR BEGINNERS. FROM THIS LEVEL ON UP, UNINITIATED STUDENTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Progressing from and adding on to Intermediate Level 2, this class prepares the student for the Advanced Program. The class format focuses on Jump-Backs, Jump-Throughs and Chakrasana in preparation for the Astanga Yoga Primary Series. Additional time and attention will be dedicated on the seated and inversion series. Expectation is to continue studying challenging postures like hanumanasana, upavishthakonasana and any associated Vinyasas. Students are expected to have built the strength, endurance and athletic movement required for advancement. Continue working with the progressive KarmaKick®Yoga approach (karmānupūrva) as applied to each pose, including the explosive but fully controlled jumps and landings. As you advance at this level, new postures should be held for a minimum of 2.5 minutes, other mastered poses for 5 minutes. Leveling Up: Please read the class description for the Advanced Program. Moving on to Advanced Level A will depend on the student’s ability to sustain poses for extended periods of time and to flow through Intermediate Vinyasa sequences with controlled movement and alignment. A demonstrable degree of strength and endurance will not be an issue for the advancing student and will be expected. Be prepared to spend months and even years at this Intermediate Level 3.
